We’re thrilled to present “Maqaam Unveiled 2,” an advanced workshop designed to deepen your exploration of classical Arabic Maqam music. Building on the foundations established in Maqaam Unveiled 1, this engaging series will offer a more detailed and nuanced understanding of Maqam music through a blend of lectures, interactive activities, and live performances.
Advanced Exploration
Over five sessions across five weeks, you’ll dive deeper into complex Maqam structures, advanced theoretical concepts, and intricate musical forms.
Structured Learning
Each 60-minute session is designed to provide a progressive learning experience, with specific time allocations for lectures, activities, and performances, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging approach.
Expert Guidance
Under the expert instruction of Mohammad Al-Mohsin – MFA, Yale University, you will gain further insights into the subtleties of Maqam music, with sessions designed to build upon one another and enhance your understanding as you advance.
Cumulative Design
The workshop is designed with intentional overlaps, allowing for smooth transitions between topics and a richer grasp of the complexities of Maqam music.
