Introduction to Music of the World
At Quartertonez Music, we’re excited to introduce “Introduction to Music of the World” — a culturally rich, year-long group music class designed for young children at Franklin Montessori School. Through song, movement, percussion, and storytelling, children will explore diverse musical traditions while building fundamental music skills, empathy, and global awareness.
Franklin Montessori Enrichment Program
This immersive program highlights three global music traditions — Arabic Music , Columbian Music, and Opera for kids — encouraging creativity, cultural appreciation, and joyful expression. The program will culminate in a final community showcase celebrating the students’ musical journey.

Program Structure
The school year is divided into three thematic segments. Each section combines music, storytelling, and movement to immerse students in the musical heritage of a different region:
Segment 1: Arabic Music
Segment 2: Columbia Music
Students will be exposed to the vibrant rhythms and rich musical traditions of Colombia through dance, instrumental exploration, and vocal expression. This class introduces traditional and contemporary Colombian styles, allowing students to experience how music reflects culture, history, and community. Through movement, hands-on instruments, and group singing, students will develop rhythm, coordination, and musical awareness while celebrating the joy and energy of Colombian music.
Segment 3: Opera for Kids
Each segment balances structure with playful learning and is designed to respect the cultural integrity of the music while remaining developmentally appropriate.
